Description
Cyphastrea is an encrusting coral that comes in all colors, but this is a truly unique one. This variety features bright red polyps with distinctive white mouths on a purple-blue background.
Its the same pattern as some other Cyphastrea varieties (like the well-known Meteor Shower), but in a completely different color scheme. A complete oddball. Put this next to your other Cyphastrea and you will never get them confused.
Like all Cyphastrea, these do best in low light, with plenty of nutrients.
The frag you purchase will come from the same lineage as the image shown, and will be similar in size. However, because of natural variation among frags yours may not look identical to this image.
