Porites – Bright Green

Description

Porites is a fast-growing, hardy, encrusting coral. In nature these corals form big round boulder-shaped colonies.

This variety is bright green, an unusual color for Porites. Normally these range from yellow to brown to purple, but this one stays bright green in every condition we’ve held it.

Like all Porites, these do best in moderate to high light and flow. Like any SPS, stability is important for Porites, although they’re generally less sensitive than Acropora and a good starter coral for an SPS tank.

The frag you purchase will come from the same lineage as the image shown, and will be similar in size. However, because of natural variation among frags yours may not look identical to this image.
