The Tooth Coral, Galaxea, has a distinctive polyp structure unlike any other coral. The polyps stay extended all day and night, giving it a furry unique appearance. This is a very hardy coral and a great addition to any reef tank as long as its properly placed. It will thrive in a wide range of conditions, but does best with moderate flow and light, and plenty of nutrients.
This coral is very aggressive and STINGS its neighbors. It has sweeper tentacles that are even longer than the normal polyps, so be sure to give it room when you place it in the tank. Properly placed, its totally safe since this coral does not spread.
The frag you purchase will come from the same lineage as the image shown, and will be similar in size. However, because of natural variation among frags yours may not look identical to this image.
Like all hard corals, this requires overnight shipping.
