Pocillopora verrucosa is an SPS with a unique branching pattern – thick, club shaped branches covered in little knobs. Unlike its cousin Pocillopora damicornis, this variety is relatively slow growing and does not spawn in the home aquarium. For aquarists concerned about the potential of P. damicornis to take over a tank, this is the Pocillopora for you!
Like all SPS these corals prefer moderate to high light and flow, and stable water chemistry similar to natural seawater levels. These corals are hardier than Acropora, and make a good starter coral for an SPS tank.
The frags available for sale are similar to the image shown here, which is one of the frags from the same batch. However, because of natural variation among frags yours may not look identical to this image.
Like all hard corals, this requires overnight shipping.
